CAVITY WALL INSULATION

35% of all heat from a property is lost through the walls, this is the largest way heat is lost from most properties. For Cavity Wall homes, this can be cut by over 85%. Homes built after 1930’s are generally built with 2 walls, an outer and an inner wall. The gap between them is the cavity.

This gap can then be filled with insulation which will drastically reduce heat loss through the walls. From this, You can expect your home to heat up quicker, stay warmer and retain heat for longer periods meaning you wont have to turn on your Boiler as much resulting in a large reduction in your Energy Bill.

There are 2 types of Cavity Insulation, Premium Glass Fibre and Superior Blown Bead Insulation. Both are excellent options and provide the best-in-class insulation, Insulation is chosen depending on your property. Our trained Professionals will make small holes on the outer wall and then fill in the insulation and seal the holes to match your wall colour. The appearance of your home will remain the same as before. After your Insulation is installed, you can expect Heat Waste through walls to reduce to around 4% and your home to retain heat much better.

INTERNAL WALL INSULATION

Insulating your Internal walls will make your home much more comfortable as it will retain heat in rooms making the overall house warmer, as the house is kept warmer for longer periods of time, you wont have to turn on your heating as often, reducing your Energy Bill, it will also reduce the chances of moisture in your property, reducing Damp and Mould Issues

Internal Wall Insulation is done by fitting rigid insulation boards to the wall, or by building a stud wall filled in with insulation material such as Mineral Wool Fibre. Internal Wall Insulation does not reduce the space inside your home as it is level with the window bannisters.

Internal Wall Insulation can also make homes more responsive to heating. This is because the heat is retained directly within the room, rather than being retained within the walls. As such, it will provide a more effective solution for heating individual rooms and make your overall home warmer for longer periods of time.

EXTERNAL WALL INSULATION

More than a third of all heat lost in homes escapes through uninsulated walls. The better insulated your home is, the less heat escapes through the walls, meaning you do not need to turn on your heating as often (saving you money!)

Most properties built before 1930 were constructed with solid walls, so they don’t have cavity gaps that can be filled with insulation. These solid wall properties can be insulated with sustainable external solid insulation. The purpose of insulating in this manner is to slow down the movement of heat going out through the walls, thereby retaining heat for longer and reduce the demand for heat

External Wall Insulation involves fixing an insulating material to the exterior of the property and covering it with a special type of Plaster/Cladding, which then improves the overall thermal efficiency of your home and retain heat better, it will also reduce the level of noise penetration in and out of your property, making your home much more comfortable.
